Kitchen tiles anti-slip: subsequent renovation

Floor tiles in kitchens are retrofitted with GriP AntiSlip to make them slip-resistant class R11.

The old people's and nursing home in the canton of Bern meets today's requirements and enables a high quality of life in old age.
The focus is on the holistic promotion of body, soul and spirit. A healthy lifestyle is supported by a balanced, seasonal cuisine. The kitchen team, which spoils the residents with its kitchen skills, was always in danger of slipping on the floor tiles.

Kitchen floors and especially professional kitchens are particularly vulnerable to slipping due to the use of oils, grease and substances that promote slipping, such as water.
Food, leftovers, dust, flour or plant waste that get onto the floor due to work can also impair slip resistance as slip-promoting substances. In addition, food, flour or plant waste that gets onto the floor can affect slip resistance.
Tiles in catering kitchens must therefore guarantee special safety due to the heavy load. One day, the surface of such a tile will be worn and scuffed. Instead of tearing out the old floor tiles and laying new ones, however, there is a sustainable alternative: renovation with GriP AntiSlip. The tiles can stay and the Swiss quality coating ensures long-lasting slip resistance.

After slip accidents in the kitchen area, GriP Safety Coatings was contacted. With our spraying technology, GriP AntiSlip Floor was applied to the slippery floor tiles. The anti-slip renovation was quickly completed and the employees can now work on the tiles without slipping and can once again devote themselves to the art of their trade.
