Terrace with anti-slip treatment

Anti-slip mats alternative: Terrace tiles become anti-slip with safety coating.

The beautiful terraces of the detached house are actively used by the whole family. The flooring consists of large light gray ceramic tiles.
As the family and especially the playing children constantly slipped on the terrace, anti-slip mats were initially laid on the two 15 m2 terraces. However, the anti-slip mat solution was costly; cleaning the anti-slip mats alone is tedious. In addition, the appearance of the picturesque terraces was gone.

The search was on for an anti-slip solution that was not quite so ugly visually and, above all, guaranteed slip resistance. Anti-slip mats tend to slip as soon as wetness or dirt accumulates between the surface and the mat. GriP AntiSlip Coating is transparent and almost invisible. Visually, it therefore blends seamlessly into the surroundings. The decisive factor, however, was the excellent slip resistance provided by SWISSGriP. With a slip resistance rating of class 11 for an angle of inclination of 19-28°, the slip resistance of the terrace tiles is guaranteed with an angle of inclination of only 2°.

Both terraces were coated with the GriP GriP spray system. The whole family can now use the terrace barefoot or with footwear - in sunshine or rain. The danger of slipping has been banished and the anti-slip mats could be mothballed.
