The daycare centre has a 450 m² wooden deck made of untreated larch wood. In accordance with the requirements of statutory accident insurance, play areas must meet certain requirements. For example, the slip resistance of wood laid on the wooden deck must be at least R11. However, wooden floorboards with the appropriate certificate are not available on the market.
The transparent and TÜV-certified SWISSGriP GSAS with R11 slip resistance was therefore applied to the wooden terraces. The anti-slip coating is not only environmentally friendly and weatherproof, but also UV-resistant and can be cleaned with disinfectants, suction brush machines and high-pressure cleaners.
This was confirmed by the praise from the nursery staff: ‘The wooden deck was always safe to walk on from the beginning, throughout the autumn and winter with its extreme weather conditions.’
