In appearance, nowadays wood-look tiles are indistinguishable from parquet and wooden floorboards. The reason for this is a special technique that virtually stamps the grain onto ceramic tiles. This individual structure of each wood plank leads to the visually perfect reproduction of a wooden floor. Therefore, as can be seen in the photos, the flooring looks like a wooden floor and not like porcelain stoneware tiles.
The wood-look tile was installed during a renovation of the pool and spa, but it had one thing in common with all other types of flooring: it was slippery when wet. The hotel hired GriP to solve the slipping problem. As GriP is a partner of IHA /DEOGA, the hotel could also benefit from our partner offers as a member.
The flooring surface first underwent a basic mechanical cleaning with Grip Intensive Cleaner to remove all detergent residues and produce an absolutely clean surface. Then the porcelain stoneware tiles were treated with the GriP spray system.
Now not only the appearance is right, but also the tested slip resistance: C / R11.
