Treating staircase and walkways to make them slip-resistant.

Porcelain stoneware slabs in the outdoor area subsequently receive slip resistance value R11.

The entrances to the flats in the apartment complex are outdoors. Although roofed, the circulation routes are exposed to the weather. Especially when it rained, the outdoor corridors and nearby stairs became slippery. The property management therefore decided to have the floor coverings affected by wetness and humidity treated to prevent slipping. In addition, due to the outdoor location, a weather-resistant and frost-proof anti-slip solution was essential.

The porcelain stoneware tiles were coated with the SWISSGriP spray system and, since the anti-slip treatment, have an R11 anti-slip rating. The anti-slip coating is transparent and, as can be seen in the photos, it is barely visible. The positive change is only perceptible in the tread resistance of the tiles.
