In addition to the entire administration, the new town hall houses the municipal library, a ZKB branch, a post of the canon police and the Office for Youth and Vocational Guidance. In 2013, handicapped accessible building was newly regulated in the cantonal Planning and Building Act (PBG) (§§ 239a - § 239d PBG). In future, new buildings with five to eight residential units must have units accessible to disabled persons on at least one floor (§ 239b PBG). The slip resistance of the artificial stone stairs was achieved with GriP anti-slip flooring in accordance with SIA 500.
