Safety and hygiene play a central role in fitness centres. Floor surfaces in particular are subject to heavy wear and tear: sweat, water from showers or drinks, as well as spa areas such as saunas, significantly increase the risk of slipping. An effective solution to prevent accidents is to apply our C and R11-certified anti-slip coating to the floor tiles.
SWISSGriP anti-slip coatings ensure that even slippery floor tiles provide significantly better grip. The coating alters the microstructure of the floor surface in such a way as to increase friction without adversely affecting the appearance or ease of cleaning. Slip resistance is a crucial safety factor, particularly in areas such as showers, changing rooms, saunas or walkways.
Another advantage of our coating is its versatility. The anti-slip coating can be applied to various materials such as tiles, concrete or plastic flooring. Furthermore, SWISSGriP is transparent, meaning that the existing design – as in the case of the floor tiles here – is preserved. SWISSGriP is also durable and resistant to cleaning agents as well as mechanical stress such as that caused by cleaning machines.
In addition to safety, anti-slip coatings also contribute to cost-effectiveness. Fewer accidents mean lower liability risks and less downtime. At the same time, members’ confidence is boosted as they move around in a safe training environment.
In summary, the anti-slip coating of floor panels is a simple yet highly effective measure for making commercially used floors safer. It combines functionality, durability and aesthetics, making it a sensible investment in the quality and safety of the entire facility.
