Pool diving board with anti-skid coating.

Stainless steel surface at indoor swimming pool are coated with GriP anti-skid.

The town of Lahnstein dates back to border fortifications built by the Romans. In addition to the picturesque hiking trails, Lahnstein is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley with an extraordinary wealth of cultural evidence.

The light wood-clad indoor swimming pool was renovated and in the course of this work a solution was sought for the 5-meter-high diving platform. The original wooden diving boards were broken and splintered. For the safety of the indoor pool visitors, the wooden construction was covered with stainless steel plates. However, this high-quality surfacing proved to be too slippery for visitors. Roughening the cast iron plates was discarded as too costly and a cheaper and high-quality anti-skid solution was sought.

After considering several anti-skid treatments and coatings for the smooth metal surfaces, management finally decided on SWISSGriP. GriP anti-skid coatings are not only durable and transparent, but also easy to clean. With the lotus effect and the antimicrobial effect, our GriP anti-skid coating also meets the hygienic requirements in addition to the certified anti-skid standards.
