Floors in commercial kitchens are constantly exposed to water, grease, or food residues, which make the flooring slippery. The slip resistance of the flooring is therefore of great importance for the safety of employees. In order to minimize the risk of slipping accidents and create a safe working environment, Switzerland has Ordinance 3 to the Labor Act, Chapter 2, Section 1, Art. 14 Floors (ArGV3 Art.14).
Accordingly, the following assessment groups* and displacement areas+ must be ensured in kitchens:
| Work areas with slip hazards | DIN 51130* |
