Slip Resistance: ![]() Class C: DIN EN 16165 / DIN51097 – Angle of inclination ≥ 24° Class R11: DIN EN 16165 / DIN51130 – Angle of inclination 19°-27° |
A new building was constructed for the extension of the Glärnisch school building. The floor covering is made of light-coloured exposed concrete. As a safety measure, the stairs and landings were to be made slip-resistant.
SWISSGriP Anti-Slip was sprayed onto the steps and landings. The floor covering coated in this way has an R11 slip resistance value with the anti-slip treatment. This value, also called R-value, indicates an increased slip resistance up to a slope of 27 degrees. The slip resistance is also valid for wet surfaces. So if, in rainy weather, arriving students spread mud and water on the treated surfaces with dripping footwear, the flooring remains slip-resistant.
