Hygienic renovation of commercial kitchen tiles.

Commercial kitchens are subject to strict regulations regarding flooring, as it must meet high standards of hygiene and slip resistance.

Hygiene is the top priority in commercial kitchens. The flooring must be easy to clean and free of cracks or joints where dirt or germs can accumulate. The flooring should be made of a material that is resistant to moisture, grease, and chemicals.
Another equally important requirement is slip resistance: to prevent falls and injuries, the flooring must have sufficient slip resistance. Slip resistance is measured by the coefficient of friction (R value), which must meet different requirements depending on the area of application.

Another criterion is the abrasion resistance of the flooring. It must be resistant to abrasion and scratches in order to maintain its functionality and aesthetics over a long period of time.
In addition, health and environmental aspects of the flooring must also be taken into account; it should be free of harmful substances and, as far as possible, manufactured and disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.

Ceramic tiles (porcelain stoneware) or synthetic resin flooring that meet the above requirements are generally used in commercial kitchens.
SWISSGriP is an non-slip antimicrobial coating that is applied to surfaces to inhibit and reduce the growth of microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, and fungi.
